Welcome to Symbolic Interaction Studio. Through my paintings and jewelry, I work with texture and color to create unusual combinations, constructing a visually interactive experience.
I don’t like to be constrained by the surface of a canvas and find inspiration in thinking of it as a pliable fabric; this gives my paintings a sculptural quality as I work to manipulate depth.
To make my jewelry I spend quite of bit of time looking for striking materials to create unique pieces through the combination of different textures or colors.
The studio itself is located at 521 N. Liberty St in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Hours are by appointment only, or during First Fridays/Gallery Hop, 7-10pm on the first Friday of each month. Can’t make it then? Please contact us, and we will be happy to open the studio for you.
